Unvailing of Judge Gauvey's Portrait

Last month I attended the unveiling of Judge Gauvey's Portrait. It was a pleasure painting her, and a wonderful party. I hope to see her and her husband in Thomas.

Reflections in Windows

After seeing the Richard Estes show I decided to get two old paintings out of the attic of reflections in windows.

Montorno Workshop 2015

Session 3. Painting and Bas-relief

Arrive Sun, June 21, 2015 - depart Fri, July 3, 2015

Enjoy thirteen days in Tuscany! You'll have eight full days of instruction and demonstration, a day trip with your group to visit regional sights and traditions, and two free days to relax or explore the local area.

Danni’s sessions will feature painting and sculpting directly from the model, using both grisaille and color studies.

Mike’s sessions will focus on landscape painting in the village and on the mountainside (at Montorno). Students may work in oils, acrylics, watercolors or pastels, and will receive daily critiques.

You will stay in apartments in the beautiful town of Serrevezza and work in a professional studio, as well as the surrounding countryside. Students will be housed for 12 nights and ground transportation will be provided between the airport or train station and the students’ lodgings. Transportation will also be provided between lodgings and Montorno studio on all class days, as well as on a scheduled day trip.

Included: daily breakfast (in accommodation); 8 lunches; 9 dinners; 8 days of drawing or painting instruction (model fees and use of an easel are included).

Workshop fee: Artists - $3550; 

Companions - $3150

Special discount for students and companions paying $600 deposit before January 31, 2015: $150 off total price.
